Gov. Jay Inslee has directed that Washington State and United States flags at all state agencies, including schools and support buildings, be lowered to half-staff from August 27 through September 2 in memory of Sen. John McCain.
McCain passed away on August 25 at the age of 81 from cancer.
Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on Sunday, September 2, 2018.
