Thurston County Public Health and Social Services requests that community members take the Maternal Child Health Needs Assessment, which closes May 13, 2024.

As part of this assessment, PHSS seeks input from the community on the health needs and priorities of children, parents, caregivers and families. Insights will help PHSS better understand the challenges and opportunities faced by the maternal child population in Thurston County.

This assessment includes two surveys. One is designed for teens and adults who are expecting and/or are taking care of babies, kids, or teens in Thurston County, and the other is designed for community partners, including Olympia School District employees, who are serving families who are either expecting or caring for infants, children, and/or adolescents residing in Thurston County.

There are two ways to assist PHSS:

  1. For Community Members (teens and adults):  Complete the Healthy Families, Healthy Communities: Thurston County Maternal Child Health Assessment community survey. This survey is for parents, adoptive parents, foster parents, grandparents, partners, guardians and more.
  2. For Community Partners: Complete the Building Strong Foundations: Thurston County Maternal Child Health Community Assessment.

Please note that you may complete both surveys, as a community provider and as a community member, if it applies to you. If you have any questions, please contact PHSS at phss_mch_assessments@co.thurston.wa.us.
